A law firm is seeking a Banking and Finance Associate Attorney in Washington, DC. The Banking and Finance Associate Attorney will play a key role in handling a variety of banking and finance matters. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in banking and finance law, a strong business and entrepreneurial sense, and excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. They should also demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, client service, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines effectively.

 

Duties:

  • Advise clients on a wide range of banking and finance transactions, including secured and unsecured lending, syndicated loans, project finance, and structured finance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, such as loan agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and assessments for banking and finance transactions.
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data and legal documents.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on client matters.
  • Provide legal support and advice on regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and meetings with lenders, borrowers, and other parties.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in banking and finance law.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
  • 3-5 years of experience in banking and finance law.
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and teamwork.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications (if applicable):

Admission to practice law in the District of Columbia.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating transactional documents.
  • Knowledge of banking and finance regulations and compliance.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and complex legal documents.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Experience with project finance or structured finance is a plus.
