Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is currently seeking a Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney for its Atlanta, GA office. This role presents a valuable opportunity to join a dynamic corporate group with a particular focus on the retail and shopping center industry. The position is ideal for attorneys looking to expand their experience in real estate transactions, leasing, and development across a wide range of asset classes. Recruitment for this opportunity is being conducted on behalf of the law firm.

Location:

  • Atlanta, Georgia

Duties:

  • Advise and represent clients in commercial real estate transactions

  • Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and development agreements

  • Support real estate acquisitions and leasing matters for retail, office, restaurant, industrial, and mixed-use properties

  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys on matters involving regional and national investors, developers, sponsors, and tenants

  • Conduct legal research and due diligence for real estate development and leasing deals

  • Participate in project management and transaction coordination

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate law

  • Proven experience handling acquisitions, development, and leasing matters across diverse asset classes

  • Prior exposure to the retail or shopping center sector is highly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong commitment to client service and high-quality legal work

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited ABA law school

  • Strong academic performance required

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Georgia Bar (or willingness to gain admission)

Skills:

  • Excellent writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Legal project management experience

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both legal teams and clients

  • Proficient in handling transactional documents and closing processes
