Location

  • Columbia, South Carolina

Duties

  • Manage a full caseload of plaintiff-side workers' compensation cases from intake to resolution

  • Investigate claims, gather supporting evidence, and develop strategic legal approaches

  • Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and other documents

  • Conduct depositions and represent clients in settlement negotiations, hearings, and trials

  • Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients throughout the case lifecycle

  • Collaborate closely with case managers and legal support staff

  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with changes in workers' compensation law

  • Embody firm values of bravery, compassion, continuous improvement, and commitment to the greater good

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Active and good-standing membership in the South Carolina Bar

  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently and efficiently

  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills

  • Genuine interest in helping clients from diverse backgrounds through challenging situations

  • Commitment to ethical and client-centered practice

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required
