A law firm in Seattle is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience to counsel employers on ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to employers on all types of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate plan documents, amendments, and related agreements.
  • Advise clients on compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
  • Assist with plan design, implementation, and administration.
  • Handle employee benefits-related disputes and litigation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience in employee benefits law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in counseling employers on retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and related compliance matters.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the State Bar.
