A law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate, Land Use, and Banking Associate Attorney. Here's the job description:

Job Overview:

The Commercial Real Estate, Land Use, and Banking Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling various aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale transactions, leases, and commercial financing. They will collaborate with project teams, draft and negotiate legal documents, conduct due diligence, and communicate with clients and other legal professionals.

Duties:

  • Work with project teams on purchase and sale transactions, leases, and commercial financing transactions.
  • Assist with assigned matters from inception through closing, including drafting and negotiating primary and ancillary documents for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development, leasing, joint ventures, and similar transactions.
  • Review and analyze due diligence and conduct legal research.
  • Correspond and communicate with clients’ business and legal personnel and coordinate with attorneys across other practice disciplines.
  • Independently manage and supervise paralegals and due diligence processes.
  • Interact directly with clients and demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Superior drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical thinker with a business mind.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of New Jersey.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate legal documents effectively.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
