Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Construction Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join its Scottsdale, AZ office. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-level litigation and contract matters within the construction industry. Ideal candidates will have hands-on litigation experience, familiarity with construction law, and excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills. This opportunity is being offered through a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the firm.

Location:

  • Scottsdale, Arizona

Duties:

  • Represent clients in construction-related litigation and arbitration matters

  • Handle full litigation responsibilities including motion practice, depositions, and court appearances

  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction industry contracts for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals

  • Conduct legal research and analysis relevant to construction disputes and risk management

  • Advise clients on legal strategy, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific issues

  • Manage case files independently while collaborating with internal legal teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction law or construction litigation

  • Demonstrated courtroom experience and file responsibility

  • Experience with drafting and negotiating construction contracts is preferred

  • Strong advocacy, legal research, and writing abilities

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and professional demeanor

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Arizona Bar (required)

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication

  • Strong negotiation and client advisory skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
