A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join their cohesive and productive team of matrimonial and family lawyers. The ideal candidate will have some litigation experience in any field and a strong interest in practicing in the evolving area of family law with a dedicated, client-centered approach. The firm offers a discretionary year-end bonus and work hours of approximately 1800 per year. Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with or better than peer group law firms, including 401(k) matching.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in matrimonial and family law cases.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strategize and manage cases effectively.
  • Interact with clients, maintaining a client-centered approach to legal practice.
  • Participate in negotiations and, if necessary, litigation.
  • Stay updated on changes and developments in family law.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of legal experience.
  • Interest in practicing family law and dedication to client-focused representation.
  • Some litigation experience in any field is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
