A law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an Associate Attorney who will play a crucial role in legal proceedings, ensuring adherence to all policies, regulations, and industry trends. This individual will be responsible for managing cases, conducting research, attending court hearings, and maintaining open communication with clients and colleagues. The Associate Attorney is expected to continually update their legal knowledge, demonstrate superior analytical and communication skills, and exhibit a positive attitude.

Duties:

  • Understands all client policies and procedures, conducting all firm business within these guidelines.
  • Conducts in-depth research on laws, statutes, constitutions, regulations, court rules, and industry trends, ensuring adherence to firm standards.
  • Prepares cases, attends court hearings, participates in conference calls, consults with client witnesses, manages the discovery process, develops cases and testimony, completes filings, motions, and submissions, and supervises paralegals.
  • Manages cases by monitoring schedules, expediting requirements, and obtaining and forwarding information.
  • Supports the firm and clients by initiating and maintaining open communication keeping the firm informed of workflow issues, policy changes, and related matters.
  • Maintains cost standards by monitoring expenses and recommending cost-saving opportunities.
  • Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and implementing necessary changes.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 1-8 years of experience
  • Admission to the practice in the State of California.
  • Superior analytical skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the litigation process from suit filing through judgment enforcement.
  • Experience in creditor’s rights law is a plus.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • It must be located in Arizona.

  • Admitted to practice in the State of California.
