A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, legal advocacy, and excellent writing skills. Federal Court experience is preferred. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills. They should be a self-starter, eager for immediate, direct client contact. A New York Bar license is required.

Job Overview: The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of litigation matters, including but not limited to drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting legal research, representing clients in court hearings, and providing legal counsel to clients.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research on various issues.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Litigation Associate Attorney.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Legal advocacy skills.
  • Excellent writing abilities.
  • Federal Court experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • New York Bar license required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • New York Bar license.
