Job Overview:
A respected law firm in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join its team. This full-time role is ideal for a self-motivated legal professional who can independently handle workers' compensation cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent communication skills, and a desire to grow within a dynamic legal practice. New York licensure is a plus.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Duties:

  • Represent employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters

  • Manage a caseload independently from inception to resolution

  • Conduct depositions, hearings, and mediations

  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs

  • Provide legal analysis and strategy tailored to each case

  • Maintain client communication and ensure timely updates

  • Appear in administrative hearings in Pennsylvania and New Jersey

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience practicing workers’ compensation law

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Strong case management and organizational abilities

  • Willingness to relocate or commute to Philadelphia, PA

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars

  • New York Bar admission is a plus

Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures and regulations

  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills

  • Legal research and document drafting proficiency

  • Effective communication with clients, courts, and colleagues

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
