A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney in Houston, TX.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will primarily focus on case development, investigation, and evaluation. They will also be responsible for client reporting, communication, and participation in legal proceedings such as depositions, hearings, and trials. Additionally, drafting legal documents, managing caseloads, and maintaining detailed billing records are essential duties.

Duties:

• Develop, investigate, and evaluate cases
• Provide comprehensive client reporting and communication
• Attend and actively participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials
• Manage caseload and prioritize deadlines effectively
• Maintain detailed records of billable hours

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school (Top 20-25% graduating class rank preferred)
• Licensed to practice law in Texas
• 4-6 years of litigation experience preferred

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• State Bar Admission in Texas
