This position requires a proactive and diligent attorney skilled in preparing litigation cases for trial, negotiating settlements, and performing in-depth legal analysis. The successful candidate will be a dynamic litigator with a prosecutor background, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare litigation cases thoroughly for trial, ensuring all aspects of the case are addressed.
  • File petitions and other necessary court documents accurately and promptly.
  • Negotiate settlements effectively, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal analysis to identify and utilize applicable legal theories and precedents.
  • Draft motions and craft well-argued responses to opposing counsel’s motions.
  • Travel up to 20% for case proceedings, client meetings, and other litigation-related activities.
  • Engage in continuous legal education to stay updated with changes in the law and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
  • Background in personal injury law with demonstrated strong negotiation skills.
  • Prosecutorial experience is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proven track record of preparing and managing cases with a strategic, detail-oriented approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Valid license to practice law in the State of Texas.
