A law firm in Birmingham is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of experience, particularly in renewables, to counsel clients on various renewables projects, with a focus on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate should have a portable book of business and knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities, as well as smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency.

 

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on renewables projects, emphasizing facilities operations and power purchase agreements.
  • Handle litigation matters related to renewables projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on renewables regulations and policies.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external parties on renewables projects.

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Litigation Attorney.
  • Portable book of business.
  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of the Bar.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of the Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Robust experience in renewables, particularly in facilities operations and power purchase agreements.
  • Knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
  • Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency.
