Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Corporate Transactions Associate with four to six years of experience to join its M&A and Corporate Finance practice in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will possess sophisticated law firm experience and a strong ability to manage client engagements.

Duties

  • Engage in M&A, leveraged buyouts, corporate governance, and complex commercial transactions.
  • Interact successfully with clients, investment bankers, and other advisors.
  • Manage multiple priorities and assume a high degree of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts within the firm.

Requirements

  • Four to six years of relevant experience in a sophisticated law firm environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collegial, team-based practice.
  • ESOP M&A experience or interest is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage client engagements effectively.

Its areas of concentration include corporate real estate, business transactions, and real estate capital markets. Fifteen qualified attorneys are on staff. Attorneys are committed to community service. They contribute to numerous philanthropic endeavors throughout the year.
