Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate/Counsel to join its Corporate practice group in Charlotte, NC. This role involves representing both public and privately owned companies in various business matters, including commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. The position offers extensive client contact and requires pragmatic counsel.

Duties

• Review, draft, and negotiate principal and ancillary agreements related to commercial transactions.
• Engage in a wide variety of corporate and commercial projects.
• Provide counsel on supply, purchase, service, and transportation agreements.
• Collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Over three years of corporate transactional experience.
• Strong business background and ability to grasp business concepts quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn.

Education

• Law degree.

Certifications

• Eligibility for North Carolina Bar admission preferred.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
