Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Corporate Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Charlotte, NC. The role involves representing both public and private companies in various corporate and transactional matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.

Duties

• Manage junior associates and oversee due diligence workstreams.
• Handle ancillary document production and negotiation.
• Draft and negotiate primary transaction documentation.
• Engage in a variety of M&A and corporate projects for sponsor and strategic clients.
• Provide pragmatic counsel with significant client contact.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of M&A experience with strong deal flow.
• Ability to independently manage junior associates.
• Strong business background and quick grasp of business concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn.
• Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Regular office attendance required.

Certifications

• Eligibility for North Carolina Bar admission is preferred.
