Tax Lawyer

A law firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Tax Lawyer with expertise in ERISA/Employee Benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, self-motivation, and exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on tax-related matters with a focus on ERISA and employee benefits.
• Advise clients on executive compensation issues and compliance.
• Draft and review legal documents, including plan documents and agreements.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations affecting employee benefits.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex tax issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax-employee benefits and executive compensation.
• Strong academic credentials with a law degree from an accredited institution.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead on tax-related matters.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.
