A law firm is seeking an Attorney to join their team in Washington, DC. The Attorney will play a crucial role in a fast-paced, sophisticated practice within a small firm environment, primarily focusing on the global aviation industry. The ideal candidate should possess outstanding analytical ability, excellent writing skills, and a demonstrated record of initiative and leadership.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in the aviation industry.
  • Handle administrative/regulatory matters, antitrust issues, and litigation cases as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, briefs, pleadings, and agreements.
  • Assist with case management and strategy development.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues on case-related tasks and projects.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on developments in aviation law and related areas of practice.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 2-4 years of private practice or equivalent government experience.
  • Background or experience in aviation law, administrative/regulatory law, antitrust law, or litigation preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Demonstrated record of initiative, leadership, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small firm environment and collaborate with partners and colleagues.

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Experience:
