Job Overview:
A law firm based in Albany, NY, seeks a litigation associate with 2–5 years of experience to contribute to a dynamic, multi-practice team. The role involves litigation support across multiple departments, with additional exposure to transactional work. The position offers a unique opportunity for legal professionals looking to broaden their practice areas while supporting experienced attorneys on a variety of complex cases.

Duties:

• Support litigation matters, including investigations, pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and case strategy

• Represent clients before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts

• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and advisories for clients across practice areas

• Assist with real estate closings, estate planning, and business transactions, including formations and contractual matters

• Work closely with senior attorneys across departments to develop specialized legal expertise

• Participate in client meetings and maintain professional communication with clients, courts, and third parties

• Manage case files, maintain electronic records, and contribute to internal team collaboration

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of post-law school legal experience

• Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with professionalism and attention to detail

• Demonstrated proficiency in legal research, writing, and analysis

• Strong interpersonal skills to work with clients and legal professionals across disciplines

• Commitment to high ethical standards and professional responsibility

• Interest in collaborative legal work across litigation and transactional teams

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission is required
