Job Overview: A law firm in Omaha, NE, is seeking an Executive Compensation/Benefits Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will work with a diverse clientele on executive compensation, tax, and employee benefit matters, including the design and implementation of various incentive arrangements.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement executive and employee incentive arrangements tailored to their specific needs.
  • Provide counsel on complex mergers and acquisitions regarding executive compensation and benefits.
  • Advise on ERISA compliance and other employment-related matters.
  • Draft legal documents and communicate effectively with internal and external clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in executive compensation and employee benefits law.
  • Currently licensed to practice law in Nebraska or eligible for licensure.
  • Excellent academic and professional credentials.
  • Experience in advising clients on ERISA compliance, nonqualified deferred compensation, and equity plans.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Nebraska State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an intellectual curiosity.
  • Exceptional work ethic and ability to take on increased levels of responsibility.
  • Collaborative team player with a client-centric approach.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits issues, including 409A and 457 deferred compensation plans.
