Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Attorney in Glendale, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in employment and labor law, including PAGA, and must be a current member of the California State Bar. This role requires strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Duties

  • Independently manage a high-volume caseload from inception through resolution.
  • Prepare client reports, both formal and informal.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including court appearances and trial preparation.
  • Manage written discovery and prepare for depositions.
  • Conduct fact investigations and participate in law and motion practice.
  • Engage in social media investigations relevant to casework.
  • Collaborate with team members while also working independently.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice in California.
  • Minimum of 5 years of employment, labor law, and PAGA experience, preferably in defense litigation.
  • Class action litigation experience.
  • Experience managing written discovery and preparing for depositions.
  • Strong written and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and build strong rapport.
  • High degree of initiative and independence.

Education

  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • CA Bar License.
