Employment Attorney

A law firm in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate must possess excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. The role involves drafting and reviewing employment contracts, providing employment counseling, leading EEO charge responses, and handling employment litigation matters. Active Minnesota license or eligibility for admission to the Minnesota Bar is required.

Duties:

• Draft and review employment contracts including separation agreements, non-competes, and executive employment agreements.
• Develop and review employee handbooks and policies.
• Provide employment counseling and transactional due diligence support.
• Lead EEO charge responses with minimal oversight.
• Handle employment litigation including wage and hour, employment discrimination, and non-competition cases.

Requirements:

• Active Minnesota license or eligibility to become admitted to the Minnesota Bar.
• 4+ years of employment law experience.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Minnesota Bar or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in drafting employment contracts and policies.
• Experience in handling employment litigation matters.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to provide effective employment counseling and transactional support.
