Job Title: Real Estate Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a seasoned attorney to join its dynamic real estate team. The role focuses on managing a high volume of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisitions, financing, and development. Duties:

  • Lead commercial property transactions from inception to close

  • Oversee comprehensive due diligence for property purchases, sales, and financing matters

  • Negotiate and draft purchase and sale agreements, lease contracts, and financing documents

  • Collaborate with business clients on structuring deals and addressing regulatory or operational concerns

  • Coordinate title and survey reviews, and identify and mitigate legal risks

  • Ensure successful closings of complex real estate deals across a range of asset classes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant legal practice in real estate transactions

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, financing, and development

  • Adept in negotiating intricate real estate contracts and agreements

  • Familiarity with title, survey, and entity structuring for joint ventures or operating arrangements

  • Proven ability to work independently while supporting a broader legal team

  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Admission to practice law in Minnesota (or ability to waive in)

Certifications:

  • Active Minnesota Bar license in good standing

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability in complex transactional contexts

  • Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills

  • Strong business acumen and client service orientation

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
