A law firm based in Forest Hills, NY, is seeking an experienced Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience and be well-versed in all aspects of personal injury law, from case intake through trial. This role requires expertise in Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), premises liability, and construction accident cases, particularly Labor Law 240 and 241. The Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney will manage a caseload and handle all aspects of assigned cases from start to finish. This position demands diligence in case management and the ability to thrive in a high-volume law practice environment. Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York Courts, with a preference for those also admitted to the federal Southern District of New York (SDNY) and Eastern District of New York (EDNY) Courts. Familiarity with SmartAdvocate is desirable. The candidate must excel in a fast-paced office and be capable of handling a large caseload.

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of personal injury cases, from initial client intake to trial.
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and document preparation.
  • Provide expert legal counsel to clients and guide them through the legal process.
  • Represent clients in personal injury trials and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with clients, medical experts, and investigators to build strong cases.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of personal injury law, including MVA, premises liability, and construction accidents (Labor Law 240 and 241).
  • Admission to practice in New York Courts is mandatory.
  • Preference for admission to the federal Southern District of New York (SDNY) and Eastern District of New York (EDNY) Courts.
  • Familiarity with SmartAdvocate (preferred).

Education:
