Personal Injury Attorney

A law firm in Rochester is actively seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing personal injury cases, including medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and more. The role involves direct client interaction, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, engaging in motion practice, and representing clients in court and mediation. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent research and writing abilities, and a commitment to client service.

Duties:

• Manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution.
• Work directly with clients to assess and develop case strategies.
• Draft pleadings and legal documents necessary for case prosecution.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions and evidence gathering.
• Engage in motion practice and legal research.
• Advocate for clients in court, at mediation, and negotiate with insurance carriers or defense counsel.
• Provide updates and consult regularly with Supervising Attorneys.
• Ensure adherence to deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in personal injury law.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
