A law firm seeks a skilled Employment Law Advice & Counsel Attorney with at least 8 years of experience in employment law matters. Based in San Francisco, California, this role provides an opportunity to work on various employment law issues, advising clients on compliance, and best practices, and resolving workplace concerns. Flexible work arrangements, including part-time schedules and occasional telework, are available.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on a wide range of employment law issues, including compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Draft and review employment-related documents such as handbooks, employment contracts, separation agreements, and workplace policies.
  • Provide counsel on matters involving harassment, wrongful termination, contract disputes, workplace discrimination, and whistleblower protections.
  • Conduct risk assessments for clients on employment practices and recommend effective solutions.
  • Stay updated on employment law developments to ensure clients remain compliant.
  • Offer strategic guidance to employers on day-to-day workplace matters and employee relations.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in employment law advising and counseling.
  • Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and provide practical, client-focused solutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • An active member of the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in drafting and reviewing employment-related documents.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and provide clear, actionable legal advice.
  • Strong research and legal analysis capabilities.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to professional standards.
