A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney for their Charlotte office.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will primarily focus on representing clients in the gaming industry. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a mid-size to large law firm setting, with a preference for gaming regulatory experience, especially in the tribal gaming space.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting and arguing discovery motions
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Conducting legal research and analysis related to gaming regulations and litigation strategies
  • Assisting in trial preparation and strategy
  • Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
  • Managing case files and deadlines efficiently
  • Providing strategic advice and counsel to clients in the gaming industry

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in a state
  • 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry (e.g., casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports)
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
  • Proficiency in case management
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Any relevant certifications related to gaming law or litigation would be advantageous

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with gaming regulations and industry trends
