Attorney needed for Hackensack office

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Attorney specializing in divorce and family law to manage and lead cases from inception through completion. The role involves mentoring less seasoned associates, handling court appearances, and participating in major Family Law CLEs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the executive committee of significant family law organizations and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Job Details:

• Handle all aspects of divorce and family law cases from inception through completion.
• Expertly manage case deadlines to ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Run own Pod, taking leadership and management responsibilities.
• Act as a mentoring attorney to less seasoned associates, providing guidance and support.
• Expect significant Court time, representing clients in legal proceedings.
• Attend major Family Law CLEs, contributing to education and networking opportunities.
• Opportunity to join the executive committee of major family law organizations.
• Meet and interface with clients to understand and address their legal needs.
• Experience drafting motions, pleadings, memorandum, discovery demands and responses, correspondence, etc.
• Demonstrate excellent writing skills and creativity in legal documents.
• Experienced in all aspects of family law, including divorce matters, child custody, child support, domestic violence, pre-and post-marital agreements, dissolutions, and post-decree modifications.
• Must attend court appearances in New Jersey, requiring NJ State Bar Admission.
• Effective, frequent, and clear communication with clients, colleagues, and the court.
• Provide exceptional client service with the ability to be empathic and understanding.
• Track and meet billable hour requirements to contribute to the firm's financial goals.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.
• Proven experience in family law, with a focus on divorce and related matters.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional writing and creative skills in legal documents.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Empathic approach to client service.
• Ability to meet and track billable hour requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Willingness to actively participate in major Family Law CLEs and family law organizations.
