A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a Global Asset Manager Regulation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of asset management regulatory experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Advisers Act.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to asset management clients on regulatory compliance matters.
  • Advise clients on the requirements and implications of the Investment Advisers Act.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on asset management regulations and securities laws.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assist clients in navigating cross-border regulatory issues.
  • Advise clients with diverse product lines on regulatory matters.
  • Stay updated on changes to asset management regulations and federal securities laws.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and teams within the firm to address client needs.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of asset management regulatory experience.
  • Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act required.
  • Large law firm, or a combination of law firm and in-house or regulatory agency, experience required.
  • Experience advising clients on cross-border regulatory matters is a plus.
  • Experience advising clients with diverse product lines is a plus.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of federal securities laws and asset management regulations.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
