Job Overview:
An established AmLaw 200 law firm is seeking a Real Estate Attorney with 5–8 years of experience to join its Real Estate practice group. This role is ideal for attorneys with extensive leasing experience, especially those with exposure to retail leasing. The position offers the flexibility to work from various office locations or remotely, and requires a high degree of independence, responsiveness, and attention to detail. The practice operates in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment and values professionals who demonstrate strong organizational abilities and a solid commitment to professional growth.

Location:

  • Pittsburgh, PA

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leasing agreements

  • Provide strategic legal counsel for retail and other leasing matters

  • Independently manage legal matters from start to finish

  • Ensure responsiveness to business needs and client expectations

  • Operate efficiently in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment

  • Collaborate with other attorneys as needed while maintaining autonomy

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience practicing real estate law

  • Significant experience in commercial leasing required

  • Retail leasing experience preferred

  • Must be licensed to practice in the home jurisdiction or eligible for admission without examination

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters concurrently

  • Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Eligibility for admission without examination in other applicable jurisdictions

Skills:

  • Proficient in drafting and negotiating commercial lease agreements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
