Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid/Senior-Level Securities Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, including securities litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting discovery, and assisting with witness preparation and examination. Federal court experience and strong legal research and writing skills are required.

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs related to securities litigation cases
  • Conduct discovery, including drafting and document review/analysis (including ESI)
  • Assist with witness preparation and examination
  • Familiarize yourself with civil rules of procedure and rules of evidence
  • Participate in hearings and trials as "second chair" if required

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation, including securities litigation at a law firm
  • Strong familiarity with civil rules of procedure and rules of evidence
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Record of strong academic performance
  • Licensed to practice law in New York

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • State Bar Admission in New York

Skills:

  • Proficient in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
