Job Overview: A law firm in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Private Equity Mergers and Acquisitions Associate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal support to healthcare clients, specializing in the acquisitions of physician and dental practices, as well as representing behavioral health providers in various transactions.

Duties:

  • Led and oversaw mergers and acquisitions transactions for healthcare clients, including acquiring physician and dental practices.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to private equity funds and healthcare providers involved in transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and ensure legal strategies align with those goals.
  • Conduct due diligence, draft and negotiate transactional documents, and manage the closing process of transactions.
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting healthcare transactions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions, focusing on healthcare clients.
  • Proven experience working with private equity funds and/or healthcare providers.
  • Additional experience or interest in behavioral health transactions is a plus.
  • High level of academic achievement from a reputable law school.
  • Previous experience in a law firm setting is essential.
  • Exceptional writing, drafting, and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar of Missouri or eligibility for admission.
