Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Led and managed mergers and acquisitions transactions, primarily focusing on healthcare clients, including private equity funds and healthcare providers.
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation in the acquisitions of physician and dental practices.
  • Represent behavioral health providers in various legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in complex transactional issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the law firm to address client needs effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions transactions, with a strong emphasis on healthcare-related matters.
  • Proven experience working with private equity funds and healthcare providers.
  • Additional experience or a demonstrated interest in behavioral health law is a significant advantage.
  • High level of academic achievement, with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission.
