Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, seeks a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing discovery processes, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and actively participating in case strategy discussions. With excellent communication skills and attention to detail, the Associate Attorney will collaborate with senior attorneys, make court appearances, and contribute to innovative ideas.

Job Details:

  • Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
  • Perform legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Make court appearances as necessary for hearings and proceedings.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases to ensure comprehensive legal representation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • Tribal Court experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, and Microsoft Office, and familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs such as Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Lexis, Smart Advocate, Everlaw, FileVine, and OneLegal.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Team player, reliable, and capable of multitasking.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.

Skills:
