Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney for its Albany location. The Personal Injury Litigation Attorney will be responsible for handling civil litigation matters from inception to resolution as part of a team, consisting of two attorneys and one paralegal. Duties include preparing reports, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, attending court conferences, negotiating settlements, and providing expert legal advice to clients and colleagues. The position requires a Juris Doctor degree and admission to the New York State Bar. Proven experience in personal injury law/defense and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Duties:

• Handle civil litigation matters jointly with a team from inception to resolution.
• Prepare periodic reports evaluating liability, damages, analyzing law and facts, and proposing legal strategies.
• Conduct legal research and draft compelling legal documents, including discovery and motions.
• Conduct depositions and attend court conferences virtually and/or in person.
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (federal admission not necessary but welcome).
• Proven experience in personal injury law/defense.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
