Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Labor and Employment Attorney to join their practice group. The ideal candidate will have extensive litigation experience and the ability to manage complex cases, including matters related to labor & employment, commercial litigation, higher education, and class actions. This position offers a dynamic legal environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Location:

  • Philadelphia, PA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in labor & employment litigation and related legal matters
  • Handle litigation cases involving commercial disputes, higher education, Title IX, and class actions
  • Participate in depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom proceedings
  • Conduct internal investigations as required
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs
  • Manage multiple cases and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines effectively
  • Provide legal counsel and strategy to clients, ensuring adherence to county, state, and federal court procedures
  • Collaborate with legal teams and interact professionally with management, staff, and clients

Requirements:

  • 4-8 years of experience in labor & employment litigation, commercial litigation, higher education law, Title IX, class actions, or multi-district litigation
  • Familiarity with county, state, and federal court rules of civil procedures
  • Experience in depositions, oral arguments, and courtroom settings
  • Ability to manage multiple files and meet strict deadlines

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Forward-thinking and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment
