A law firm in Houston is seeking a Projects and Energy Transition Associate Attorney with 5-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have significant involvement in M&A, financing transactions, debt finance, and renewable energy transactions. Stellar academic credentials and comparable law firm experience are required. The role involves working with project sponsors and developers, commercial and investment banks, financial institutions, investors, manufacturers, technology companies, contractors, tribal governments, sovereign nations, and other participants in the sector.

 

Duties:

  • Participate in M&A transactions related to projects and energy transition.
  • Assist in financing transactions, including debt finance, related to energy projects.
  • Handle renewable energy transactions and projects.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors, developers, financial institutions, investors, manufacturers, technology companies, contractors, tribal governments, and sovereign nations.
  • Provide legal advice and support on project development and energy transition matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 5-7 years of experience in projects and energy transition law.
  • Significant involvement in M&A, financing transactions, debt finance, and renewable energy transactions.
  • Stellar academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.

 

Skills:

  • Expertise in M&A transactions and financing transactions.
  • Strong understanding of energy project development and renewable energy law.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders in the energy sector.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
