Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to provide zealous representation to clients in various immigration matters. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload and work closely with clients to develop strong legal strategies.

Duties:

  • Prepare USCIS and NVC applications, including but not limited to U-visa, VAWA, SIJ, Asylum, Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status, and Waivers.
  • Represent clients in USCIS appeals and motions, as well as before state and/or immigration courts or agencies.
  • Conducted legal research, formulated legal strategies, and drafted legal briefs and court pleadings.
  • Conducted client interviews, reviewed supporting documentation, and guided case requirements.
  • Manage cases from inception to resolution, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Review and ensure quality control of completed applications and filings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and immigration authorities both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaborate with team members in a professional and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Utilize case management systems and maintain accurate case records.
  • Adhere to best practices, demonstrate attention to detail, and meet deadlines under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Law Degree with current authorization to practice immigration law.
  • Active Bar membership and licensure to practice law by the highest court of any state.
  • 2 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiarity with case management systems, specifically Lawlogix.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Genuine interest in working with immigrants and victims of trauma.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and PDF handling.
  • Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

  • Law Degree (Juris Doctor or equivalent).
  • Current authorization to practice immigration law.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing.
