Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to K-12 schools and community colleges on various operational, and legal issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients in various practice areas, including Business Facilities & Real Estate, Labor & Employment, Students & Special Education, Higher Education, and Litigation.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, agreements, and other pertinent materials.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys to develop effective legal strategies and solutions for clients.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends impacting the education sector.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • Prior experience in providing legal services to educational institutions is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures across various practice areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
