A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience to work on complex real estate matters, provide legal counsel to clients, and contribute to the firm's success. The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research, writing, and analysis skills and be able to handle a variety of real estate transactions.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on various real estate matters, including property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documents and contracts, such as purchase agreements, leases, easements, and financing documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including title examinations, zoning assessments, and environmental reviews, to identify risks and ensure legal compliance.
  • Represent clients in real estate transactions, negotiations, and dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Provide legal counsel and support to internal teams and clients on complex real estate legal issues.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of title insurance, survey review, and closing processes.
  • Stay updated on changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive legal advice and mitigate risks for clients.
  • Proficiently use Microsoft Office, AdobePro, NetDocuments, other document management systems, and legal research tools.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 4-7 years of experience in real estate law, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department setting.
  • Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado from the Colorado Supreme Court or a license from US states with reciprocity agreements with Colorado.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Certifications:

  • License to practice law in Colorado or from US states with reciprocity agreements with Colorado.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects.
  • Ability to conduct thorough due diligence and identify potential risks.
  • Experience in negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Knowledge of title insurance, survey review, and closing processes.
  • Familiarity with legal document management systems and research tools.
