Associate Attorney

A leading law firm situated in New York City, NY, is actively seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney specializing in cyber risk matters. The successful candidate must bring a portable book of business exceeding $300,000, with rates exceeding $500 per hour. This position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney to contribute to significant cyber risk cases within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel and client representation in cyber risk matters, including data breaches, privacy issues, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies and provide strategic recommendations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to cyber risk.
• Advise clients on cybersecurity best practices, compliance with data protection laws, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and legal proceedings related to cyber risk incidents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective cyber risk management strategies.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, specializing in cyber risk law.
• Proven track record of cultivating and maintaining a portable book of business exceeding $300,000.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
