A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate Attorney or Counsel for its Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate should possess:

Job Overview: The candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support on a wide range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters. They will work closely with clients to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations while advising on best practices for employee benefit programs.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on executive compensation matters, including qualified retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation, equity compensation, health and welfare plans, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA, and ESOPs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate employee benefits and executive compensation agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex benefits and compensation issues.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and team members to develop comprehensive client solutions.
  • Assist in preparing employee benefit plan documents, amendments, and filings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation law.
  • Extensive experience working on executive compensation matters.
  • Excellent academic record from a reputable law school.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of employee benefits and executive compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
