A law firm in Encinitas is seeking a Health Care Transactional Associate (Attorney) with a strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of strong health care transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and joint ventures for health care stakeholders.

 

Duties:

  • Handle health care transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals.
  • Assist with health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance matters.
  • Provide regulatory guidance in areas such as fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules, managed care, and health care antitrust.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis pertaining to health care laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to health care transactions.

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of strong health care transactional experience.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • California Bar membership in good standing.

 

Preferred Education, Certifications, and Skills:

  • Experience with health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance.
  • Strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends.
  • Demonstrated regulatory experience in health care law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and legal research skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively.
