A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Associate Attorney for its Rochester, NY, office. The ideal candidate should have 2-4 years of experience in bankruptcy law and must be admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York. Other jurisdiction admissions are welcomed. The candidate should have experience working with commercial debtors, creditors, lenders, and other constituents both in and outside court.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies.

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Attend hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in the state and federal courts of New York.
  • 2-4 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Education:
