A distinguished law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of complex litigation experience to join its Washington, D.C. office. The role involves working on high-stakes insurance coverage disputes, including matters involving bad faith claims, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated litigator with strong analytical and writing skills who is eager to work with a Chambers-rated practice group and gain direct client and partner exposure.

Location:

  • Washington, D.C.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation and related disputes

  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, memoranda, and correspondence

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance-related issues

  • Participate in discovery and case strategy development

  • Manage deadlines and deliver high-quality written work under time constraints

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on complex litigation matters

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of complex litigation experience

  • Prior experience in insurance coverage or bad faith litigation (preferred but not required)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Admission to practice in the District of Columbia

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
