A law firm is seeking a Litigation Defense Associate Attorney with NJ jury trial experience to join their team in Iselin, NJ.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Defense Associate Attorney will represent clients in civil litigation matters focusing on defense. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, possess exceptional attention to detail, demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills, and excel in written and verbal communication. Working independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters, primarily focusing on defense.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and briefs.
  • Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Manage caseload efficiently and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Assist senior attorneys with case strategy development and implementation.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active license in good standing in New Jersey; New York license is a plus.
  • 0-3 years of relevant litigation experience.
  • Proven experience with NJ jury trials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.

Education:

  • JD degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:
