A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Fund/Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in secured and unsecured lending transactions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in handling complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bilateral financings, fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, bridge loans, and more.

Duties:

  • Handle secured and unsecured lending transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, and bridge loans.
  • Assist with complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bilateral financings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to finance and lending transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and other financial documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to provide legal advice and support throughout the transaction process.
  • Manage due diligence processes and assess legal risks associated with financing transactions.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in the legal field, with a focus on fund finance and leverage finance/private credit.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable law school.
  • Relevant and sophisticated law firm and transactional experience in finance and lending matters.
  • Admitted to the New York State Bar or eligible for admission.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for admission).

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of secured and unsecured lending transactions.
  • Familiarity with fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, and bridge loans.
  • Legal research and analysis abilities.
