Employment Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Litigation Associate for its Portland, OR office. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to providing strategic legal solutions in employment and labor law, supporting employers in developing effective workplace policies and resolving disputes.

Duties

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
• 2+ years of experience, with a strong preference for an employment law background.
• Current OR Bar admission in good standing; WA Bar also preferred.
• Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Oregon State Bar; Washington State Bar preferred.
