A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to take on a prominent role in its esteemed environmental transactions practice. The ideal candidate should possess 6-9 years of experience in environmental transactions, preferably gained at a large law firm. This position requires a strong foundation in handling substantial transactions, environmental due diligence, and interaction with clients. Additionally, candidates with experience in environmental counseling and litigation are highly desirable. Duties:

  • Lead and oversee complex environmental transactions within the law firm's practice.
  • Manage environmental consultants and supervise the preparation of diligence reports.
  • Draft and negotiate the environmental provisions of mergers and acquisitions agreements.
  • Evaluate and procure environmental and Representations and warranties (R&W) insurance.
  • Conduct environmental due diligence investigations.
  • Engage directly with clients to address their environmental and legal needs.
  • Provide environmental counseling and, when necessary, support in environmental litigation.

Requirements:

  • 6-9 years of experience in environmental transactions, preferably from a large law firm.
  • Proven track record of working on substantial transactions.
  • Competence in managing environmental consultants and diligence report preparation.
  • Strong background in drafting and negotiating environmental provisions in M&A agreements.
  • Ability to assess and secure environmental and R&W insurance.
  • Experience in conducting environmental due diligence.
  • Comfort and proficiency in direct client interactions.
  • Experience in environmental counseling and litigation is a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional writing skills and academic credentials.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the state of Colorado or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
