A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Denver. The Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on high-quality projects nationwide. They will collaborate on various agreements related to renewable energy projects, including power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients in the clean energy industry on renewable energy projects
  • Collaborate on various agreements related to project development and finance
  • Draft and review power purchase agreements, purchase and sale agreements, hedge contracts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on project development and finance matters
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Conduct legal research and analysis as needed
  • Assist with due diligence for project financing transactions
  • Handle other legal matters related to renewable energy projects as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, or commercial contracts
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry is preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of project development and finance concepts
  • Experience with renewable energy project agreements preferred
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
